Creation: The Joy

Not every project we work on is in the city, and not every project is what we would call "cutting edge".  The one thing that remains--creativity.  No matter what the taste of the client, everyone wants creativity in some form to show thru the design--or, at least you hope they do.

Master Smith: Stamped Tee's

...Master Smith, combining three of my favorite things.  Anchors, graphic T's, and stamping.  True vision, awesome creativity.

High-rise Basement

The best experience I ever had living in a high-rise, was when we lived in the basement.

Suiting Up: 501's, Shuron, J.Crew, Thrift Store, Red Wings

My 8 week Yoga retreat is finally over, and it is time to "suit up" and get back into the real world--Levi's that have not been washed in 4 months, Red Wings whose laces never get tied, a thrift-store shirt layered with an awesome J.Crew henley.  And, to see it all--my Shuron frames.

Great "Movie" houses: California Ranch in The Parent Trap

I will, often times, go to see a movie just to see the "house"--if it is really cool.  As I was channel surfing the other day, I came across the 1961 movie The Parent Trap--and there it was, a really cool house--who knew?  The California Ranch-style house of the father in the movie, could be plucked out of the 1960's and placed into 2011.  It has open space, clean lines, modern art (modern for the time)--inventive lighting, and amazing upholstery.  As you are watching the clip....think Michael Smith.  Enjoy!!
